1. Key Focus: Lower Half Balance and Control

Closed front foot: 45° or less through contact and follow-through.

Firm front side: straight or slight bend (avoid locking or collapsing).

Back knee drive: knee moves toward pitcher.

Back foot: “shoelaces to center, heel to sky.”

Back leg: forms an “L.”

3. Week 2 Practice Itinerary

Format: 5 stations, 10 minutes each + 1 final group station (10 minutes).
Stations:

Group A – Big Cage: Batting practice rounds (same situational rounds as Week 1).

Group B – Cage 4 Drill Work: Front toss, hold finish, review 5 checkpoints.

Group C – Cage 3 Power Development: Heavy balls and heavy bat swings.

Group D – Cage 2 Velo Station: Tee work with cinder block and balance board for lower-half stability.

Group E – Cage 1 Core Strength: Medicine ball Russian twists (3 x 10, feet off ground).
