Youth baseball should be fun, and an environment where they grow, develop and learn life lessons (resilience, how to win and lose, be a good teammate, be coached). On the team, players should expect there to be expectations and accountability on things they can control - e.g., attitude and effort. Winning is obviously fun and the objective of any competition, but it will secondary to player safety and development. They are 9.
